What a glorious day we had for the 2022 Yarck to Yea Walk-Run-Ride event on Saturday 26 August, to raise money for our mission entity, Highways and Byways – Healing the Land, Healing Ourselves, Together and their small grants/ partnership programs.

More than 40 people joined us, choosing to walk, run or ride the full 27km, or perhaps 9km from Cheviot Tunnel, or 5km. It didn’t matter the distance; we were all there in solidarity and friendship, taking in the stunning Victorian country scenery as we made our way to Yea along the Great Rail Trail, for a fabulous cause. It took awhile for the fog to lift, but when it did, the sun shone brightly!

Our efforts were rewarded at the end in Yea with a barbecue lunch and home-cooked delights thanks to members of the local Sacred Heart parish community.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the event, and we hope to see you again next year!
