After a two year hiatus due to Covid-19, we are pleased to announce that our mission entity, Highways and Byways – Healing the Land, Healing Ourselves, Together, is once again hosting the Yarck to Yea Ride-Walk-Run. We encourage you to don your walking and/or riding gear, to help us raise funds for the fantastic work that Highways and Byways does in assisting communities experiencing disadvantage and exclusion across rural and regional Australia through its annual small grants and longer term partnership programs.
Date: Saturday 27th August 2022, from 7.15am or 9.30am
You can choose to ride, walk or run the Great Victorian Rail Trail between Yarck and Yea. There are various starting times and points (see the flyer for more details). Complete the entire 27km trail, or choose your starting point according to the distance you wish to walk or run. The event finishes at the Old Yea Railway Station, where all can enjoy and celebrate their achievement at a BBQ lunch hosted by the Yea Catholic community. A bus will be on hand to drive people back to their cars.
Cost: Adult, $30; Concession/Student, $12; Family, $50 (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
