2021 John Wallis Walk, Hobart

Boat on River at Hobart
27/08/2021

Each year our mission entity Highways and Byways – A Community of Service hosts the ‘Yarck to Yea’ Walk Run Ride fundraising event in Victoria. Funds raised go toward Highways and Byway’s fabulous work in supporting people and communities experiencing hardship and disadvantage, especially in rural Australia.

Sadly, last year due to COVID we had to cancel it, and again this year (on the mainland) it’s been cancelled. Fortunately, the Hobart branch of Highways and Byways have organised a special 2021 John Wallis Walk. This year is particularly special as we mark the 20-year anniversary of the death of our founder, Fr John Wallis (who comes from Yea, in country Victoria).

The walk will take place in the beautiful Bellerive area of Hobart on Saturday, 28 August, followed by afternoon tea.

1.45pm: Gather at Corpus Christi Church car park (welcome, introductions, maps)

2:00pm: Depart

3:00pm: Afternoon tea in the hall when you finish.

Everyone is welcome!
